Founded Jul 1990, as European Post Giro Directors Group (EP/GDG), following proposal, Jan 1989, by U-XF9870 - Groupe de Paris, informal meetings having been held throughout the 1980s. Company founded in 1993. Subsequently changed title to EUROGIRO - Giro and Postbank Organizations in Europe and then EUROGIRO - Giro, Postbank and Commercial Bank Organizations in Europe. Also known by the title and tag line: Eurogiro - your global payments community.
Serve as a payment community to create business opportunities in particular with cross-border payments; establish common technological infrastructure for cross-border transfers; create common products and product lines to provide efficient, inexpensive, transparent services for users.
