Founded on adoption of Constitution and election of officers, the setting up of a World Confederation of Manipulative Therapists having been recommended at Conference of B-XC3489 - World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT), 1970, Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Committee appointed 1973, Gran Canaria (Spain). Since 1978, a subgroup of WCPT.

Promote international excellence and unity in clinical and academic standards for manual/musculoskeletal physiotherapists.
