History

22 Oct 1986, as South African Committee for the Certification of Duality System Auditors (SACCQA). Current name adopted, Mar 1991. Registered as a Section 21 company, 1995. Currently undergoing assessment by the South African National Accreditation System (SANAS) to regain its accredited status to the ISO/IEC 17024 Standard - Conformity assessment - General requirements for bodies operating certification of persons.

Aims

Recognize and satisfy the needs of stakeholders in Southern Africa and provide confidence to industry by setting criteria in line with National and International Standards to ensure the competence of: management system auditors; management system consultants; management system training course providers.
