History
14 Aug 1927, Berlin (Germany), following preliminary meeting, 1925, Locarno (Switzerland). Previously also referred to in German as International Organisationen von Lebensmittel-Detaillisten and in Italian as Unione Internazionale delle Organizzazioni dei Dettaglianti del Ramo Alimentare (UIDA). Took over activities of H-XD4043 - European Federation of Food Retail (EFFRO). Registered in accordance with Swiss law. No news reported since 2010.
Aims
Represent interests of the European independent grocer; function as a spokesman of the national professional organizations and buying groups.
