Founded Nov 1990, Bergen (Norway), as Alliance of Northern People for Environment and Development, also known as Northern Alliance for Environment and Development. A foundation for the support of ANPED was set up in 1995; closed in 2010. Registered in accordance with Belgian law, 2011, under current name. Ceased to exist, when merged into D-XD5415 - International Association of Pipe Smokers Clubs (IAPSC), 1 Jan 2014.
As an international grass-roots network of organizations dealing with environment and development issues: link activities, exchange information and skills and enhance mutual learning on issues of environment, sustainable development and participatory democracy; change unsustainable consumption and production patterns in the North.
