Founded
1994
History
1994, by merger of American Society of Computer Dealers and U-XU9952 - European Society of Computer Dealers (ESCD). 2000, took over activities of H-XD4736 - European Computer Leasing and Trading Association (ECLAT) and merged with Computer Dealers Association (CDLA), Digital Dealers Association (DDA) and Information Technology Resellers Association (ITRA), and adopted the title Association of Service and Computer Dealers International (ASCD International) - ASCDi. Current title adopted on merger with North American Association of Telecom Dealers (NATD), 2012.
Aims
Represent interests of users, owners, buyers, sellers and maintainers of mid-range and mainframe computer equipment worldwide; promote and enforce high ethical standards of business conduct within the industry; provide a forum which promotes the exchange of industry ideas among membership and industry suppliers; assist members in becoming the vendor of choice for their customers and the business partner of choice for manufacturers, developers and distributors; provide educational and promotional assistance to enable the membership to grow its customer base.
