Prior to 1953. Certain activities taken over by D-XD0573 - European Association of National Productivity Centres (EANPC), set up 17 Jan 1966, Paris (France), following meetings from 1953 to 1961 of the Productivity Committee of EPA attached to H-XH7171 - Organization for European Economic Cooperation (OEEC), and from 1961 to 1965 of C-XC3023 - OECD. During reorganization of the latter, representatives of national productivity centres decided to form their own association. Instrumental in setting up: 27 Sep 1956, Paris, of D-XD0821 - European Organization for Quality (EOQ); 20-23 Aug 1961, Stockholm (Sweden), of Ergonomics Research Society, currently C-XC1808 - International Ergonomics Association (IEA). Set up U-XU1308 - International Safety Institute (ISI).
