Programme areas: 'Corporate Accountability' - researching and campaigning for ways business can improve their accountability and social and environmental performance; includes Transforming Markets programme to advance the debate on corporate social responsibility to the next level; 'Redefining Wealth: the Power of Well-Being' - measures well-being and promotes policies and practical solutions that enable people to lead more fulfilling lives; 'Local Economic Development' - series of tools which are human-scale in concept and delivery and which can be learned quickly to improve development; includes Local Alchemy (2 year programme) of support for a community, based around ways of encouraging local enterprise and the local economy; 'International Economics Governance' - develops models for sustainable development that subordinate finance to social, political and environmental goals; 'Democracy and Public Services' - works on people participation; 'Climate Change' - investigates what legal methods can be used to force countries to carry their share of the burden to stop runaway climate change.
