Originally designated 28 Sep 2002 as International Right to Know Day, which was recognised by UN General Assembly in 2019 as International Day for Universal Access to Information.

Promote the right to access information held by public authorities or the right to information; facilitate debates about right to information issues and engage with other players in this area; support our members to promote and protect the right to information in their own countries.
