Initiated Dec 1968, when 14 scientists from 7 countries met in Oxford (UK) and formed a committee to explore the possibility of establishing such a society. May 1974, incorporated in the State of Delaware (USA).
Provide a unique international platform for discussion and exchange of ideas on contemporary topics in eye and vision research among members and the broader eye/vision research community.
