Confederation of Mediterranean Badminton (COMEBA)
9 Sep 1995, as Mediterranean Badminton Confederation. Became dormant in 2005; formally reconstituted 29 Jul 2006 with new Statutes and Board of Directors. New Statutes adopted 29 Jul 2006, Casablanca (Morocco).
Encourage respect of the Badminton World Federation, formerly International Badminton Federation, principles; develop and promote the practice of badminton in the countries of the Mediterranean basin; work for the introduction and maintenance of badminton in the programme of the Mediterranean Games; develop the spirit of friendship and mutual aid among members; strive for continuous development of the badminton technical level and the spreading of this sport in the countries of the Mediterranean basin; promote sports competition in a friendly spirit and elimination of all unfair practices; offer support and supervision to organization of competitions.
