1264, Oberndorf am Neckar (Germany), as the Second Order of St Augustine, grouping cloistered nuns, one of the congregations of Catholic women under the Rule of St Augustine. Since 1520, under the jurisdiction of the Bishop of Meaux (France). Became a congregation of pontifical right in 1904. In 1962, the nuns became Tertiaires Régulières du Grand Ordre Augustinien. Also referred to as the Augustines de Meaux -- Religieuses Augustines de Meaux.
