8 Aug 1945, by T-XT4503 - Agreement for the Prosecution and Punishment of the Major War Criminals of the European Axis, between the Governments of France, UK, USA and USSR, as an international judicial body for the prosecution and punishment of major war criminals of World War II. Also referred to as: International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg; International Military Tribunal for the Prosecution of the Major War Criminals of the European Theater in Nuremberg; Nuremberg International War Tribunal; Nuremberg War Tribunal. In session 3 May 1946 to 12 Nov 1948.
