Ceased to exist with the entry into force of the Charter of D-XD3030 - OAS, as amended by the Protocol of Buenos Aires (Argentina), 27 Feb 1970. Under the amended Charter, the functions previously carried out by the Peace Committee were assigned to the Permanent Council of OAS, assisted, until restructuring, Nov 1988, pursuant to Protocol of Cartagena de Indias, by H-XE7304 - Inter-American Committee on Peaceful Settlement.
