Provide an organization for ASEAN accountants to further advance the profession in the region so as to establish an ASEAN philosophy on the accounting profession; establish a medium for closer relations, regional cooperation, and assistance among ASEAN accountants; enhance the continuous development of the profession in the region through joint endeavours; identify and highlight vital problems affecting the profession in the region and formulate proposals towards their solution; provide accountants with a venue for information exchange; represent accountants in their collective dealings with international accounting and other organizations; cooperate with ASEAN business regional groupings whose economic development efforts may be complemented by ASEAN accountants.
