Inaugurated during a two-day meeting at the Hugh Wooding Law School, Trinidad-Tobago, attended by 19 representatives from 5 countries.
Promote better administration of law libraries; foster a spirit of cooperation among members of the profession through, inter alia, holding conferences and discussions; promote improvement of the status and qualifications of law librarians; encourage bibliographical study and research, and creation and organization of legal information through appropriate technology; publish information of service or interest to members; support and cooperate with, or become affiliated to, other organizations or activities which tend to enhance the control and dissemination of legal information generally.
