The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History
May 1981. Also referred to as European Federation of Leisure Parks. Ceased to exist, 31 Dec 2009.
Aims
Further the best interests of permanent amusement, theme and other similar forms of permanent leisure parks and piers throughout Europe; further exchange of ideas and experience among them; convince European politicians and organizations of the importance for Europe of developments in the industry and offer them expertise and cooperation; consult and negotiate on behalf of members with European Union authorities. Priorities: realization of European safety standards on fairground and amusement park machinery and structures; implications of VAT harmonization in the European tourism industry; simplification and harmonization of rules and taxation on part-time and temporary work; guarantees on tourist mobility while aware of the importance of the environment.
