The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

1972, Vienna (Austria), pursuant to an Agreement signed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Austria and by the Director of WIPO which entered into force 22 Jun 1973. From Jul 1990, part of D-XD4489 - European Patent Office (EPO). Ceased to exist 1 Jan 1991, when integrated into EPO and replaced by a new EPO sub-office in Vienna which continues the products and services of the former INPADOC.


Produce computer records of appropriate bibliographic data from patent documents as soon as they are published, and then manipulate the recorded information to provide information services.
