25 Sep 2007, as part of F-XF0692 - United Nations Peace-keeping Operations, by resolution 1778 (2007) of E-XE3376 - United Nations Security Council (UNSC), within F-XF1000 - United Nations System, in the framework of A-XA3375 - United Nations (UN). With adoption of resolution 1861 (2009), 14 Jan 2009, deployment of a military component of MINURCAT was authorized to follow European Union military force of EUFOR, with transfer of authority between EUFOR and military component of MINURCAT taking place, 15 Mar 2009. Military operations ceased 15 Oct 2010. Withdrawal completed, 31 Dec 2010, with programmes handed over to government of Chad and UN agencies.

Authorized strength: 300 police; 25 military liaison officers; 5,200 military personnel.
