History
1915, Tortona (Italy), by Luigi Orione, who in 1927 organized the Perpetual Adorers of the Most Blessed Sacrament, a group of blind women living a contemplative life, devoted mainly to prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. New branch was formed, 14 Sep 1990, the Contemplatives of the Crucified Jesus who offer their austere life of prayer and mortification for the apostolic and missionary work of the Congregation and for the salvation of all mankind.
Aims
Provide assistance to the poor; take care of the orphans and the aged; provide care to mentally handicapped and physically handicapped; promote catechesis, youth clubs and other pastoral activities - all these in order to bring all men to the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ, the Holy Father and the Church by means of evangelization and works of charity.
