The Moravia Convention Bureau (MCB) provides organisers assistance and independent complex information for planning and holding congresses, conferences, business meetings and incentive events in Southern Moravia and in the City of Brno.

MCB is a specialised part of the official organisation of destination management and marketing of the Tourist Authority – South Moravia, interest groups of legal entities. The founders and only members of the organisation are the South Moravian Region, City of Brno and the Association of Commerce and Tourism of the Czech Republic. The activities of the MCB are non-profit and commenced in 2008 within the scope of the Congress, Trade Fair and Incentive Tourism in the Southern Moravian Region Project. The European Union financed the project through the Southeast Regional Operational Programme.

Another milestone in the development of MCB is 2010 and its membership in the national Czech Convention Bureau, which significantly supports the expansion of services. Membership in the international association International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) has ensured contact with the global world, valuable contacts and last but not least professional quality of rendered services since October 2010.

The main objective of MCB is to increase the number of events that are held in the destination and related promotion of Southern Moravia and the City of Brno as a suitable destination for holding congresses, conferences, trade fairs and incentive programmes. MCB is mainly a contact point and support point for organisers and planners. It cooperates with representatives of public administration and local service providers, which includes the sphere of accommodation, rental of conference facilities, trade fair halls, related equipment, catering, transportation, supporting programmes etc. The Moravia Convention Bureau is not the organiser of individual events.
