Call for partnership for the fifth celebration of the International Day of Living Together in Peace (IDLTP) on 16 May  2022

A very simple and free partnership, which enhances your association!

On the initiative of AISA International NGO - an NGO with Special Consultative Status to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations - the International Day of Living Together in Peace was adopted on 8 December 2017 by consensus of the 193 Member States of the United Nations General Assembly. Since then, it has been celebrated every year around the world, with the support of a growing number of international partners (https://16mai.org/)

This year, for its fifth anniversary, this international day will also be celebrated within the Floriade Expo 2022, devoted to the cities of the future under the theme “Growing Green Cities”, and particularly during the inauguration of the Garden of Peace. More than 70 countries will be represented and more than 2 million visitors from all over the world are expected to attend the event.

In this context, a call for partnership is also launched to the member associations of the Union of International Associations to invite them to celebrate this global initiative, carrying a message of peace for all humankind.

This partnership proposal is very simple and free.

It is based on two concrete actions: on the one hand, the broadcasting of the documentary movie " All of Us", a committed movie on living together (https://en.noustous-lefilm.be/), directed by Mr. Pierre Pirard, and on the other hand, the signature and the large diffusion of the Universal Declaration of Living Together in Peace. All practical arrangements have been designed with the primary concern of avoiding any burden for partners while offering them the unprecedented opportunity to value their commitment to living together on social networks and websites dedicated to the International Day of Living Together in Peace, already followed by more than 8 million followers worldwide.

To date, more than 354 organizations, cities, regions from 52 partner countries (associations, universities, schools, televisions, legal actors and others) have already joined us to commemorate this day and broadcast the documentary movie "All of Us", which illustrates the interest shown by the public because of the dramatic conflict which has arisen in the heart of Europe and wich may degenerate into a worldwide deflagration at any time.

It is urgent for a third way, mediator for peace,  to arise and bring together all that wildworld goodwill to act together and find a remedy for the ills undermining our humanity.

Any interested association that wishes to contribute in building a better world can send its requests and questions to: contact@16mai.org  by 10 April 2022  at the latest. A response will be guaranteed as soon as possible.
