Dear UIA members, 

Subvention is a widely discussed topic in the event industry. Where one sees it as a poorly justified incentive, others see it as a necessity and a business enabler. Decennia have passed since subventions were first introduced in the event industry and as our industry evolves, so do the practice and the attitudes around the subject. 

The University of Turku has been granted the biennial European Conference on Developmental Psychology. The Conference will be held in Turku, Finland on 28 August – 1 September, 2023.

The biennial European Conference on Developmental Psychology has been granted to the University of Turku for 2023. The Conference is a main event in the field of developmental psychology and it has never before been organised in Finland. The event brings over 1,000 psychology researchers to Logomo event center in Turku.

Busan MICE must go on


BUSAN, South Korea, 29 October 2021: Busan, the hub city of Northeast Asia, prepares for the “with Corona” era as the city’s MICEindustry and the convention bureau resume marketing and promotions to bring back virtual and in-person international events. Two years after Corona 19, Busan has established non-face-to-face MICE facilities at various venues, including BEXCO, to strengthen quarantine protocols.
