Korea has recently successfully launched the satellite launch rocket Nuri and the lunar probe Danuri in succession. Based on these achievements, the country is securing a stronger global standing academically and technologically in terms of space science. Korea is also being recognized for its ability to attract relevant MICE events. In particular, Busan was the venue for not only the 2022 International Astronomical Union (IAU) General Assembly, but was also selected as the host city for the 2024 Committee on Space Research (COSPAR).

The Commission would like to hear your views
This initiative seeks to ensure full single market freedoms for associations, simplifying their cross-EU activities and promoting their fundamental rights.
Current rules create obstacles, such as additional registrations, when associations operate across EU borders. This may distort the market for non-profit organisations, affecting the EU democratic space and the exercise of EU fundamental rights.
This initiative follows up on the European Parliament resolution adopted on 16 February 2022.

Located at the southern tip of the Korean Peninsula, the coastal city of Busan features diverse elements ranging from a world-class MICE infrastructure to mountains, rivers, and the sea, making it an optimal location to enjoy both business and pleasure. As a result, the number of bleisure and workcation visitors is on the rise, and Busan is making vigorous marketing efforts as Korea’s only maritime bleisure city. As a part of such efforts, in June, the Busan Tourism Organization selected “Best Bleisure City Busan” as the new slogan to represent the MICE city of Busan.
