The Global Fund for Children (GFC) is an international non-profit organization committed to ensuring access to social amenities for all. We intervene through advocacy, health education, gender violence prevention, human rights education, peacebuilding, labor migration issues, awareness of human trafficking, and environmental protection for women and children. Over the years, we have engaged in evidence-based policy advocacy concerning human trafficking at international, regional, and national levels, ensuring that every survivor of sexual assault and domestic violence receives appropriate responses and justice.
On behalf of the committee and staff of the Global Fund for Children, I am pleased and honored to extend a warm invitation for you to attend the upcoming International Conference on CHILD ABUSE and NEGLECT ! IC-CAN 2026 is scheduled for September 20 to 23, 2026, in Washington, DC, at The King Luxury Hotel and the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The conference's second edition will occur from October 26 to 28, 2026, at The King Luxury Hotel and the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Dakar, Senegal. This conference is organised by End Violence Against Women International (EVAWI) in partnership with the Global Fund for Children (GFC).
IC-CAN registration is free, and invited delegates are entitled to free United States and Senegalese visa arrangements by the organising committee, including round-trip air tickets provided by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM). After confirmation and submission, the delegate fills out registration forms. Interested delegates will only be responsible for their hotel accommodations at the King Luxury Hotel, where the conference will be held in Washington, DC, and Dakar, Senegal, for safety reasons.

The International Symposium on Child Abuse and Neglect is the premier conference providing expert training and networking opportunities to professionals in the child maltreatment field. This conference uniquely addresses all aspects of child maltreatment, including, but not limited to, physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, exposure to violence, poly-victimization, exploitation, intervention, trafficking, and prevention. Child abuse professionals will also learn essential techniques to manage the impact of vicarious trauma.
Prominent speakers from around the world are expected to present. Learn about various laws and policies that intersect with the Anti-Trafficking Movement, including Act 105, Safe Harbor, the Prostitution Crimes Code, and SESTA-FOSTA/Rule of Law and Justice!
