Boardroom and UIA have entered a unique partnership designed to bring high-quality knowledge to association professionals. The partnership will take the combined form of content delivery and promotional activities.
The Union of International Associations is a research institute and documentation centre based in Brussels, and operating under United Nations mandate. Non-profit, apolitical, independent, and non-governmental in nature, it has been a pioneer in the research, monitoring and provision of information on international organizations, international associations and their global challenges since 1907.
Boardroom and UIA share a strong alignment of interests. Both are focused on delivering high quality, educational content for the associations sector. Boardroom prides itself on its position as an expert source of information for association professionals, while UIA, thanks to its interlinked databases on international organizations and, international meetings, has created a powerful tool for understanding the complexity of global issues and the policy environment that can foster effective action.
Jacques de Mévius, Secretary General, Union of International Associations said:
“We are very happy with this partnership with Boardroom. Just like UIA, Boardroom operates as a source of knowledge for – and in cooperation with – international associations. Sharing our communication channels will enhance UIA’s and Boardroom’s outreach to international associations professionals and endorse UIA’s mission of promoting the public awareness of association activities and of representing the collective views of international bodies.”
Cecile Koch, Founder & Managing Director, Boardroom, added: “We’re delighted UIA has chosen us as their partner. UIA is quite unique in the sense it helps associations develop themselves professionally on an international level. This works in harmony with Boardroom’s vision of leading the conversation in the most innovative best-practices and developments for associations.”
As the partnership is set to start rolling in January, both organizations are looking forward to the UIA 14th Associations Round Table Europe in Prague, which is planned to take place as a hybrid event in late spring/early summer 2021.
