International Finance Forum (IFF)

The International Finance Forum (IFF) to host four regional conferences in 2023

After years of increasing globalization, the last five years have witnessed a seismic shift in global economic relations. The COVID-19 pandemic and the resultant disruptions to global supply chains have heightened concerns about supply security and the preference for near-shoring. More importantly, geopolitical and strategic competition has led to policy driven fragmentation risks for the global economy.
Today, global challenges such as climate change are more widespread and deeper than before and any sustainable solution requires global cooperation. To promote international cooperation in finance and achieve the goal of comprehensive global sustainable development, the IFF plans to organize four regional conferences in Washington DC, Hong Kong, London and Singapore in 2023.

The IFF Washington DC Conference

By the invitation of the International Monetary Fund, the International Finance Forum, together with the Bretton Woods Committee and Paulson Institute, will organise a high-level seminar on global economy on April 10. The meeting will be part of the World Bank/IMF Spring Meeting 2023 in Washington DC, US.

The IFF Hong Kong Conference

Together with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Hong Kong Academy of Finance, the IFF will organize the IFF Hong Kong Conference on May 5, 2023. The theme of the conference will be Multilateralism and Globalization in an Era of Strategic Competition and Implications for Asia. The IFF will invite several distinguished speakers from government, international organizations and academic realm to share and discuss their incisive judgment and deep insight.

The themes and agendas for the conferences in London and Singapore will be announced at a later date.
