Unite leading philatelic experts of all nations and promote and encourage personal contact and cooperation between them; facilitate and promote exchanges of views and opinions; uphold common interests; inform its members of new technologies in the production and/or detection of forgeries; cooperate in detection of forgeries of all kinds and support national and international organizations which are similarly engaged; impress on collectors and dealers the role of expert opinions for the benefit and protection of philately; issue and/or support studies and publications dealing with "expert-izing" and/or forgeries.
