Aims

Encourage the legal profession to use its talents in defence of human rights; aid in the defence of lawyers committed to the cause of human rights; gather and disseminate information on human rights violations; conduct research on national and international law related to human rights; work for the ratification by all Latin American countries of international human rights instruments of UN and OAS.

Gathers and disseminates information on human rights violations in the region. Prepares reports for UN and OAS Human Rights Commissions. Provides legal services to Latin American exiles. Coordinates human rights training courses for lawyers. Organizes international meetings and seminars on human rights.
