Founded Sep 1989, when it was registered in the State of Colorado (USA). Absorbed Offshore Mechanics and Polar Engineering Council (OMPEC), June 1995. Also referred to as International Society of Ocean and Polar Engineers (ISOPE). Registered in the State of California (USA), Oct 1999, as non-profit society under Federal IRS code 501(c)(3).

Aims

Advance at an international level technological progress in the interdisciplinary fields of offshore, ocean and polar (Arctic and Antarctic) engineering and related technologies; provide opportunities for maintenance and expansion of interest in these fields for benefit of the engineering profession.
