History
Formally constituted Mar 1973; Constitution and Bylaws adopted 9 Jul 1975.
Regional Secretariat moved, 1988, from Sydney (Australia) to Manila (Philippines).
Currently functions as a Region of B-XB0186 - Baptist World Alliance (BWA).
Aims
Promote fellowship, cooperation and service among Baptists; function as a region of the Baptist World Alliance; assist in uniting and promoting activities of special groups (men, women, youth, etc); stimulate and coordinate evangelism; assist in consultation on and planning of relief and aid programmes; consult with other Christian organizations.
