The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

Feb 1970, at 8th Special Meeting of the U-XE5708 - Inter-American Economic and Social Council (IA-ECOSOC) of the D-XD3030 - OAS. A committee of IA-ECOSOC by resolution REM 1/70, its secretariat was under the Executive Secretary of IA-ECOSOC. Ceased to exist, Jun 1993, on setting up of H-XE1919 - OAS Special Committee on Trade (SCT).

Aims

Serve as an instrument of consultation and negotiation between the United States and the other OAS member states to deal with problems in the area of trade.
