1983, as a regional sub-group of B-XB1970 - International Federation of Oto-Rhino-Laryngological Societies (IFOS). Statutes adopted 1989.
Promote, coordinate and unify the advancement of oto-rhino-laryngology in Africa; encourage and coordinate scientific research; represent ORL interests in other organizations in Africa dedicated to prevention and control of diseases and disorders related to ORL; train oto-rhino-laryngologists.
