Founded within the framework of D-XD5643 - Association for Strengthening Agricultural Research in Eastern and Central Africa (ASARECA) and coordinated by C-XC0359 - CABI.
Aims
Identify and prioritize the key constraints to smallholder coffee production, processing and marketing in the subregion and formulate regional strategies to alleviate these constraints; identify, prioritize and address common themes among national coffee research programmes in the subregion through collaborative research activities; ensure that the quantity and quality of coffee produced in the ASARECA subregion increases in response to increasing global demand for high-quality coffee; increase opportunities for exchanging and disseminating information and demand-driven technologies in the subregion.
