15 Nov 1989, Barcelona (Spain). Launching conference Apr 1990, Brussels (Belgium). Registered in accordance with Belgian law. Previously also referred to as Association européenne de banques et organismes financiers interpellés par les questions d'écologie, de culture, de gestion démocratique de l'économie sociale.

Aims

Facilitate development of and international cooperation among financial institutions involved in community banking, social investment and other ethical saving activities which encourage a more conscious handling of savings and which invest in ethical, ecological and self-managing undertakings; help develop trust and cooperation among finance organizations so as to enable joint investment across boundaries by members; provide information on policy and practice of investment and banking in members' countries and at European and international level.
