1 Jan 1971, Hamburg (Germany FR), to act as a specialized body of A-XA1710 - International Co-operative Alliance (ICA). Current Rules adopted 24 Oct 1992, Tokyo (Japan). Also referred to as Intercoop. Ceased to exist when merged, Aug 1999, with E-XE1340 - Consumer Co-operatives Worldwide (CCW).
Aims
Promote economic collaboration among affiliate members in order to increase the competitive power in the consumer co-operative movement in both national and international markets, resulting in advantages to consumers.
