Increase Asia's share of the international convention and incentive travel market; promote regional cooperation in developing Asia's convention potential and promoting the region as a convention destination; stimulate intra-regional conventions; encourage the formation of city or nation-wide convention organizations; develop and promote sound professional practices in the soliciting and servicing of meetings and conventions; initiate training programmes to achieve these objectives; facilitate exchange of information through establishing a comprehensive Asian convention data bank; serve as a clearing house of information on the Asian convention industry.
