Jul 1995, as Group Union for Europe (UFE) - Groupe union pour l'Europe (UPE) -- Grupo Unión por Europa -- Fraktion Union für Europa -- Grupo União para a Europa -- Gruppo Unione per l'Europa -- Fractie Unie voor Europa -- Gruppen Union för Europa -- Gruppen Union for Europa -- Unioni Euroopan Puolesta, to combine the U-XF2650 - Group of the European Democratic Alliance (ERD) and U-XU8491 - Forza Europa Group (FE). Also referred to as Union for Europe Group. Previously also referred to in Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch as Grupo Unión por la Europa de las Naciones -- Grupo União para a Europa das Naçôes -- Fractie Unie voor een Europa van Nationale Staten; and in French as Groupe union pour l'Europe des nations. Most recent name adopted in Jul 1999. As of 2009, ceased to exist.

Aims

Advocate on behalf of European citizens to: bring the European Union (EU) closer to its people; recognize the contribution of principal of subsidiarity to better decision-making. Advance the idealism of EU founding fathers in recognizing: equality among member states; importance of the regions; richness of cultural and linguistic diversity.
