The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History
1993, within the framework of D-XD4238 - Nordic Council of Ministers (NCM), on merger of U-XE0287 - Nordic Committee of Senior Officials for Industrial Policy and U-XE0288 - Nordic Committee of Senior Officials for Energy Policy. These had originally been set up, 29 Sep 1982, with English titles Nordic Senior Executives' Committee for Industry Policy and Nordic Senior Executives' Committee for Energy Policy, as a result of the separation of the function of U-XU8774 - Nordiska Ambetsmannakommittén för Industri- och Energipolitik (AeK-Industri), itself set up by D-XD2984 - Nordic Council (NC) in 1973. In English also referred to as Nordic Committee of Senior Officials for Energy. As of 2009, assumed ceased to exist.
Aims
As one of 11 committees of senior civil servants, prepare meetings of the Council of Ministers and conduct research at its request.
