The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History
1986, within the framework of H-XC3983 - Agence intergouvernementale de La Francophonie. Merged with U-XF3592 - Réseau international des observatoires francophones de l'inforoute et du traitement informatique des langues (RIOFIL) to form H-XF5865 - Réseau international francophone d'aménagement linguistique (RIFAL), Jul 1999.
Aims
Adapt the French language to scientific and technical modernity; provide the Francophone with the expression tools they need in the new fields, especially in the fields of science and technology; establish a concertation between countries and communities using the French language in matters of terminological creation; favour, simultaneously with the development of the French language, the development of national languages in the Francophone space of the South.
