The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

16-18 Oct 1993, Mauritius, by F-XF1536 - Conférence au sommet des chefs d'Etat et de gouvernement des pays ayant le français en partage (Sommet de la Francophonie). Operational from 1994. Operated by C-XF3420 - Agence universitaire de La Francophonie (AUF). Also referred to as Fonds multilatéral francophone de la recherche. Ceased to exist.

Aims

Strengthen cooperation among universities and in scientific research, in particular that carried out in countries of the South, and especially in Africa south of the Sahara; respond to urgent requirements and opportunities of needy research teams, laboratories and centres; transfer administrative and research know-how from North to South.
