Founded at constituent assembly, persuant to mandates of the General Assembly of A-XA3375 - United Nations (UN).
Aims
Channel professional and scientific input to the United Nations and create a capacity for transfer of knowledge and exchange of information in the field, drawing on contributions of non-governmental organizations, academic institutions and other relevant entities, so as to assist the United Nations in programme formulation and implementation and to provide access to services and expertise of constituent organizations; enhance contribution of NGOs from developing countries.
