Round Tables 2014

UIA. The UIA Associations Round Table Asia will take place on 22/23 October at The Plaza Hotel Seoul, Korea, the UIA Associations Round Table Europe on 13/14 November at the Minerva Hall of the Royal Dublin Society, Ireland.
Ice Bucket Challenge

Donation. As of 29 August the ALS Association has received $100.9 million in donations compared to $2.8 million during the same time period last year. These donations have come from existing donors and 2.1 million new donors.

Increase. The Vienna Convention Bureau reports that the number of one-day conferences has seen a “significant increase” in the last ten years. In 2004 Vienna recorded 2% of its total meetings as one-day events; in 2013 that share had risen to 15%.
