Migration Data for the Sustainable Development Goals



SDGs. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development recognizes for the first time the contribution of migration to sustainable development. Migration is a cross-cutting issue, relevant to all of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 10 out of 17 goals contain targets and indicators that are relevant to migration or mobility. The Agenda's core principle to "leave no one behind", including migrants, requires data disaggregation by migratory status, opening up significant migration data needs but also the opportunity to improve migration data.

Bruges welcomes prestigious conference UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism in 2020

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the Basque Culinary Center (BCC) with the support of the Government of Flanders co-organize the 6th UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism on 1-4 June 2020 in Bruges, Belgium. This Forum will bring together Ministers of Tourism, representatives from National and Local Tourism Administrations, chefs, entrepreneurs, academia and related stakeholders from tourism and gastronomy.

Under the theme ‘Gastronomy Tourism: Promoting Rural Tourism and Regional Development’, and having the UNWTO 2020 Year of Tourism and Rural Development as a backdrop, the Forum will focus on the contribution of gastronomy tourism to social and economic integration, job creation and regional cohesion.

The conference will take place in the Concertgebouw, and will be attended by approximately 500 participants from all over the world.
