| | | | | | UIA Welcomes New Associate Member Associate Member. UIA is delighted to welcome its newest Associate Member: MaestroMeetings! MaestroMeetings evolved from a business unit within an academic nonprofit, the Latin American Studies Association (LASA). Its purpose is to support the event management efforts of other academic nonprofits, dedicated to promoting academic and social change collaborations by supporting its partners to plan, organize, and manage high-quality events around the world. As a nonprofit organization itself, MaestroMeetings implements long-range strategies that focus on social impact and not on the bottom line. The organization's collaborative and inquisitive culture thrives in the event-procurement industry's competitive environment, yet has decided to incorporate as a nonprofit to ensure that the commitment to promoting academic and social change collaboration is always the driving force.
