+ the European Congress of Cardiologists of 2016 (ESC 2016) will be held in Rome? It is the first time this happens in Italy, and The European Society of Cardiology has chosen Rome as the venue of the annual Congress.
 
 
Where to meet?
Rome has three big conference poles strategically connected to the historic centre, hotels, railway stations and airports: Fiera di Roma with 50 meeting rooms, total capacity up to 20.000 seats, 14 pavilions, parking for up to 5.000 cars. Auditorium Parco della Musica, designed by the famous architect Renzo Piano, with a total capacity of over 8.000 seats, is a multifunctional complex made for musical and cultural events of various kinds.
 
EUR business district: Congressional District consists of the two main structures: Palazzo dei Congressi (up to 5.000 seats) and Salone delle Fontane (up to 900 seats), also the Nuvola of Fuksas will open soon (up to 11.000 seats). Rome also has numerous hotels with meeting rooms with capacity from 20 to 7.000 places.
 
 
Where to stay?
There are in Rome 972 hotels for a total of 49.000 rooms and nearly 99.000 beds. There are 33 5 star hotels, 272 4 star hotels and 373 3 star hotels. Noteworthy are the Rome Marriott Park Hotel and the Sheraton Parco de’ Medici Rome Hotel for large capacity of meeting rooms and hospitality services and A.Roma Lifestyle Hotel, luxury hotel recently opened with meeting rooms, a 2.500 sq.m Spa Centre, bars, restaurants, tennis courts.
 
 
How to get there?
Rome “Leonardo da Vinci” - Fiumicino Airport (FCO) is an intercontinental airport and a central hub. It is one of the main European airports as it is connected with about 150 cities on a daily basis. Rome Fiumicino is just half an hour away by train from the city centre. Moreover, being connected to the high speed railway network, you can easily get from the airport to anywhere else in the country (for eg. it takes less than 3 hours from Rome FCO to Milan). The city has another international airport, Roma-Ciampino, one of the main airports in Central Italy for “low cost flights”.

CBI increases business opportunities, promotes Italy as a MICE destination, coordinates and represents the Italian offer at an international level and spreads the culture of MICE in Italy through proper training.
