Why Sydney?

Did you know?

+ Sydney is multicultural. New South Wales' 7.5 million people are highly educated and multilingual.

+ Sydney is home to more than 200 spoken languages and a large population of overseas-born residents.

+ Sydney has been voted the world’s friendliest city and the sixth safest city in the world.

+ Knowledge has become an essential economic driver, with innovation the new battleground. As economies around the world jostle for advantage in key areas of competitive strength, Sydney is looking to its local smarts and shining a light on the sectors that will have the most to contribute to both our local and global future prosperity.

Where to meet?

There’s no shortage of unique and spectacular venues in Sydney. From a boardroom or exclusive dining room for VIP guests to awe-inspiring social venues, Sydney has all elements of your program covered. And there’s always something new to talk about. The new state-of-art ICC Sydney located on prime waterfront property in Darkling Harbour has just opened its doors and has already confirmed over 40 international association meetings. With a total exhibition space of over 35,000 sqm and plenary for 700-8,000, ICC Sydney ensures the perfect fit for tomorrow’s association meeting.

How to get there?

Sydney is the gateway to Australia and is easily accessible for delegates travelling from all areas of the globe, with 41 international airlines offering more than 670 international flight arrivals each week. With the city centre uniquely situated just 8 kilometres (20 minute drive) from Sydney Airport, transfer time and costs for delegates are minimised. Australia does not exclude access by any travellers on the basis of nationality or country of origin, and has a world class visa processing framework, with relatively few travel and visa restrictions for delegates and organisers wishing to enter the country.
