My favourite spots:
Top restaurants:

Bozar Brasserie by David Martin is located in the heart of Brussels. The place was created in 1928 by Victor Horta. The Brasserie has a great atmosphere with originality in the plate and a professional service. What else can you ask for?

Jaloa Gastro by Gaëtan Colin. This is Brussels’ first Michelin starred Slow Food restaurant. The Chef infuses his plates with knowledge and patience. His culinary gestures are anything but innocuous; he strives to be almost philosophical. The meal lives up to its promise of "simplicity, authenticity, and creativity".

L’Epicerie By Vincent Masson is located inside of the 4 star hotel “Le Meridien”. He proudly offers fresh and regional products respecting the seasonality. This positive initiative highlights and promotes local producers and their know-how, while being environmentally friendly. The brunch is a must!

Top bars:

Steigenberger Bar is one of Brussels best hotel bars. Enjoy a wonderful tea, coffee or cocktail in this luxury lounge and bar, furnished with finest wood and luxurious leather armchairs and sofas.

Bar Dessiné is located inside of the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel. This hotel pays tribute to Brussels' history of comic art in the elegant Bar Dessiné. This stylish bar highlights the work of famous Belgian cartoonists and offers an extensive drink menu featuring international cocktails.

The Flat is a unique experience in Brussels. In one of the most trendy bars/clubs of the city, come and have a drink with friends, relax, talk or dance while having your mojito in the lounge, the dining room or even in the bathroom or bedroom!

Top hot spots:

Go to the Chatelain area on Wednesday afternoon, when the beautiful market enlightens the whole neighbourhood. It is the ideal place for an early aperitive before going to one of the many good restaurants in the area. The exquisite boutiques in the quarter, and more specifically the Rue du Bailli and its surrounding streets, make it the perfect shopping place.

On sunny days Place Flagey is full of kids playing, people chatting and drinking on the benches to enjoy the sun. The area is full of nice bars and cosy restaurants.

For those more interested in what’s hip and happening in design and fashion, I suggest the Dansaert area. The best place to discover renown and young Brussels designers.

Hervé Bosquet is Director of the Brussels Convention Bureau. The Brussels Convention Bureau provides organisers of congresses with independent advice, free of charge. The team of experts helps meeting planners to find the right partners for their conferences: venues, hotels, local professional congress organisers (PCOs), destination management companies (DMCs) and other service suppliers.
