Education. The UIA Associations Round Table aims to promote and facilitate the work of international associations by providing training and networking opportunities.
•The 7th Round Table Asia-Pacific will take place in Pattaya, Thailand on 19 & 20 September 2019.
•The 13th Round Table Europe will take place in Brussels, Belgium on 4 November 2019.
Topics which are set to be covered include: UN Accreditation, networking, event organization, external communications strategy, membership, governance, legal statutes, and accounting. The full programmes can be found online.

At the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) discussion on how the UN can contribute effectively to achieving the SDGs on 8 July 2019, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres reminded delegates the world is “lagging behind” on the SDG timetable.
