Why Busan?

Did you know?

+ First of all, Busan has been the most popular tourist destination for summer vacation in Korea for the last 30 years. In 2015, 8.5M tourists have visited this beautiful ocean city.
+ Busan was ranked 10th in the world, and 5th in Asia according to A+C criteria in UIA’s convention city ranking. And the city was notably the No.1 fastest growing convention city during 1999-2008 with the growth rate of 5,200%.
+ The most unique aspect of holding your event in Busan is that the city’s key spots – primary convention facilities, pre-eminent hotels, beloved tourist attractions, premium shopping and the best leisure and nightlife – are all situated just 10 minutes from each other, in what we call the ’10-minute zone’.

Where to meet?

In Busan there are two international convention centers of distinctively unique features.

+ Since opening in 2001, BEXCO has stood out as the city’s premier MICE destination and the center is located at the heart of Busan’s convention district, known as Centum City. With 90,000 square meters on seven floors and one underground level, BEXCO’s sophisticated exhibition and convention facilities, spacious halls, and 22 conference rooms could house five soccer fields. And the Auditorium offers a spacious 4,000-seat theater setting for all sorts of exciting events.
+ The second Convention Center is uniquely located in Busan Port International Passenger Terminal offering breathtaking ocean views. It has four multi-purpose event halls, six conference halls and 10 meeting rooms with a total capacity of 3,500 people.

Do you offer any special services/assistance for associations?

As the official city marketing organization, BTO provides support for event planners and business visitors, ranging from financial/administrative supports to event promotions. We help associations from the very initial stages of attracting events to the successful implementation of the events. We are also providing tour buses and multi-lingual tour guides for your pre/post tour. In addition to the buses and tour guides, tourist information booths can be placed at your conference venue and professional guides will help the participants to get around the city.
